Why Raise Princesses…When You Can Raise Warriors
blog
- Warriors who aren’t waiting for a knight in shining armor to ride in and rescue them
- Warriors who can stand up, not just for themselves but for the ideals they cherish
- Warriors who can defend, not just themselves but the people around them who need protection
- Warriors who are fearless, not just in the face of adversity but also in the face of immense opportunity
- Warriors who don’t just have strong minds and bodies but who have strong hearts too
- Warriors who can laugh at themselves and are kind-hearted to a fault
- Warriors who have the courage of their convictions and the humility to accept that they have so much more to learn
- Warriors who are fiercely loyal yet brutally honest
- Warriors who don’t think too much about how they look, but think very deeply about who they look up to
- Warriors who don’t see color, race, creed or ability as something to discriminate against, but to understand and integrate
- Warriors who pray every night, not just for their loved ones but for the whole world and everyone in it ❤️
So this #IWD2021…it is my hope that we raise our daughters to be warriors, and leave the princesses to frolic on the silver screen.
